Home Remedy for Chicken Pox

Chickenpox is also called as a Varicella that is caused by varicella-zoster virus. Chickenpox is a mild diseased condition that most of the children catch at one or the other time in their childhoods. It is most common in the winter and spring season and generally affects plenty of children at the same time, nearly about once in every three years. Green pea water is another effective remedy for relieving irritation of the skin. The water in which fresh peas have been cooked can be used for this purpose.

The use of vitamin E oil is valuable in chicken pox. This oil should be rubbed on the skin. It will have a healing effect. The marks left by chicken pox will face away by the application.

Boil two cups of oatmeal in two liters of water for fifteen minutes. This mixture is then put into a cloth bag, preferably cotton, and a string is tied tightly around the top. This bag is allowed to float in a tub of warm water, and swished around until the water becomes turbid. Precaution should be taken to ensure that the bag is not torn. It is an effective natural remedy for relieving the itch due to chicken pox.

Take 100 gm of carrots and 60 gm of fresh coriander. Cut them into small pieces and boiled for a while. The residue should be discarded. This soup should be taken once a day for treating chicken pox.

Apply Sandalwood oil ( not the paste ) from the first day of appearance of rash till the fall of scabs.

Apply Vitamin E oil over the skin. This will help the healing process..
A bath of oatmeal is a natural remedy to relieve the itch due to chicken pox
Honey smeared over the skin will also help in healing the disease
Lukewarm water baths with neem leaves will help relieve the itching.

Baking soda and water: Mix ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. Then, sponge this on the infected person. When this dries it decreases the itching and irritation

Honey: Pure honey helps heal the scars within three days.

Vitamin E Oil: When applied, the scars disappear quickly.

Brown Vinegar: One-half cup of brown mixed in bath water helps sooth the itch, and comforts the skin.

# Drink fresh juices when you have chicken pox.
# Stir baking soda in a glass of water. Use a cotton ball and apply on the chicken pox.
# Drink chamomile tea with honey and lemon.
