Considering that this ailment is most often associated with stalwart Schwarzeneggerites, it’s no wonder that most people don’t refer to athlete’s foot by its wimpy clinical name: “ringworm of the feet.”But truth be told, this nasty little bugger could care less whether you pump up or punk out, whether your running is done in marathons or just into the kitchen for a halftime snack.
Healthy and balanced diet
Avoid eating baked products and products that have high yeast content in them. Avoid alcohol, sugar, cola drinks and grains. Eat a healthy and a balanced diet, avoid processed foods. Your diet must include fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Avoid fried and greasy food. Garlic has a good antifungal property, eat raw garlic or include it in your diet.
A soak in hot epsom salts for 5-10 minutes, dry thoroughly, really thoroughly, and use Gold Bond Medicated powder all over (esp. between the toes). Don’t use anything ointment or creme based as fungus thrives in moist areas! This might take several applications (in the same order) for a day or so but will work.
You can use a mixture of Boric acid, Epsom salt and vinegar and apply it on the soars of your feet.
Soak your feet in a solution of household bleach (sodium hydrochloride) for 10minutes. This is reported to be one of the most effective home remedies for athletes foot.
Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil is the most common way to treat athlete’s foot naturally, and one of the most effective. Tea tree oil is one home remedy that has proven to be as effective as over the counter athlete’s foot medications. Tea tree oil contains anti-fungal qualities, and for best results it should be applied directly to the affected area three times per day. The usual dosage of tea tree oil is from four to ten drops.
Sosa
The herb sosa (Solanum chrysotrichum) is used in
Spray your feet with anderarm anti-perspirant, this will insure that the affected area stays dry. Usually this alone may kill Athlete’s foot since the fungus lives in moist places.
If you dissolve about 5 aspirin in 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol and rub over your feet after showering/bathing , the aspirin will soak into the skin due to the alcohol mixture. This will kill fungus that causes odor and dry up athlete’s foot problem. You will see the difference, and notice there is no foot odor right away. Do this before putting on your shoes in the morning and after taking them off each evening.
