The best place of buy coconut oil is at any natural or health food store like GNC. Apply the coconut oil to the scalp and scrub away the dead skin with a brush or fingernails. Next, either hold your head under a faucet of hot water or in the shower under hot water for fifteen minutes.

Mix one part vinegar to three parts water, soak your hair, and wrap a towel tightly around your head. Leave the mixture on overnight and rinse the next morning.

Mix one part lemon juice with two parts vinegar, apply to the scalp and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Then mix a raw egg into your regular shampoo and shampoo your hair.

Mix equal parts of olive oil and almond oil. Massage your scalp with the mixture and let sit for about five minutes after you feel the burning sensation. Then rinse well.

Massage your scalp for half an hour with curd that has been left in the open for three days. Lime juice mixed with amla juice can be used in place of curd. Repeat this process every night before going to bed. Massaging the scalp helps stimulate blood circulation and the production of sebum.

Take a few drops of lemon juice and honey and mix it well with some yogurt. Apply this mixture on your scalp and leave it for some time. Scrub and wash well with warm water. You can even buy a bottle of pure lemon juice and massage your scalp with it. Leave the lemon juice soaked scalp and hair for sometime and wash it well. After about 2 or 3 treatments, you will be able to see the difference.

You can also use a mixture of coconut oil, or neem oil with a spoonful of camphor. This is very effective home remedy for dandruff.

A hair wash with vinegar is also a useful home remedy for dandruff. Mix 2 teaspoons of vinegar with 6 teaspoons of water, and apply it on your scalp before going to bed. Apply the same solution in the morning before washing it off. Do not scratch your scalp with your fingernails as it could cause an infection.

Pour or spray the mixture directly onto your scalp. Massage it in and leave to dry on your hair. There’s no need to rinse it out (unless the smell bothers you).

In cases of more stubborn dandruff, make the mixture stronger, try a one-to-one ratio of vinegar to water. Applying undiluted vinegar directly to the scalp can also do the trick. Leave it on for around 15 minutes and then wash the vinegar out using a mild, pH-balanced shampoo.

If possible always try to use raw undiluted apple cider vinegar as this will give the best results when getting rid of dandruff. Lemon juice can also be used instead of vinegar.

Don’t use make-up on skin that is prone to blackheads. If you do use make-up, use a hypo-allergenic brand.

Avoid oily foods. Instead, eat foods high in beta-carotene, like carrots, cantaloupe.

The following blackhead removal treatment should be done no more than once per week. You will need a large towel, a large bowl of boiling water and a blackhead cleanser or wash. You can choose an over the counter blackhead remover for this or you can make your own using baking soda and water. Put boiling water into the bowl and put your face over it. Now cover your head with the towel and stay there for about five minutes. After your pores have opened up from the steam, gently use your OTC blackhead remover or your baking soda and water treatment.

Actinomycosis (also known as Rivalta disease, big jaw, clams, lumpy jaw or wooden tongue) is an infection, commonly of the face and neck, that produces abscesses and open-draining sinuses. Actinomycosis is an infection primarily caused by the bacterium Actinomyces israelii . It is characterized by a dry ulceration with central necrosis, surrounded by a gutter of demarcation, usually accompanied by iritis and hypopyon. In severe cases, descemetocele and perforation may occur.

Acinomyces species form part of the normal microbial flora of the mouth and female genital tract ?Acinomyces israelii is Gram Positive bacilli non motile,non sporing and the morphologically resemble the thin branches. ?Facultative anaerobes that causes pelvic actinomycosis ?Usually infection occurs at human with IUCD , ?Foreign body ,vaginal pessaries ,surgical clumps and ?forgotten tampons associated with actinomycosis usually. ?Acinomyces israelii causes actinomycosis a chronic granulamataus

Treatment for actinomycosis is usually a series of antibiotics, most commonly penicillin. These are injected at first and followed up with oral antibiotics. If the infection is severe, the treatment may last for up to 12 months.

Actinomycosis has been reported around the world. Although there is little accurate prevalence data in the literature, the incidence of all forms of actinomycosis appears to have declined markedly in the last three to four decades 12. The pulmonary form of actinomycosis constitutes ~15% of the total burden of disease, although estimates of up to 50% have been reported 12–15. It is now a rare infection, particularly in the developed world.

Surgical drainage of the lesion may be required. The objective of therapy is to control the infection, but response is slow. Prolonged therapy with penicillin or a substitute is necessary to ensure a cure.

Surgical treatment may include incision and drainage of abscesses.

Some people are allergic and others are not allergic to the thick, oily substance, called urushiol, in the resin emitted by poison ivy or poison oak, says Susan C. Poison oak rash is caused when you come in contact with the oil called urushiol. Urushiol is a colorless or pale yellow oil found in the sap of poison oak. When exposed to air, it changes color to brownish-black. Avoid directly touching the sap of poison oak, it will cause problem to you. Indirect contact to the sap, by touching something on which the urushiol was present will also cause the rash, because urushiol can stick to fur, garden tools or any object that comes in its contact.

Battling a swarm of fruit flies in your kitchen or bathroom? Get rid of them quickly with this simple, homemade trap:

What You Need:

Apple cider vinegar

Dish soap

A jar or small bowl

Plastic wrap

One of the best home remedies for fruit flies is to simply put a pot of basil on a window sill or table. This will help reduce the number of fruit flies in the area.

Soap

Dry soap acts as a fruit fly repellent. Sprinkle it into garbage cans and any other problem areas.

Fruit flies are wine connoisseurs. Okay, maybe they are not wine snobs, but they have been known to quaff a few drops here or there. They particularly like Chardonnay or so we hear. Use that knowledge to your advantage: fill up a saucer of some cheap white wine and add a little detergent to it. Leave it around for the flies to sip and die on. This solution brings knew meaning to the expression “gut rot .”

If you fill a small dish with cider vinegar near your fruit bowl it will draw the fruit flies away/also a small bit of wine will do the same.

Also, fruit flies can be eliminated by running bleach or baking soda down your kitchen drain.

Fruit flies also are attracted to garbage. When you’re looking for the thing(s) that’s attracting these flying pests, don’t forget to look for soiled sponges and dish rags, food and drink spills, and, check your kitchen drain. They sometimes hang around drains because it provides moisture and food scraps, two things they need to survive and reproduce. Fruit flies not only eat ripe and rotting food, but they also lay their eggs in it.

Catch one of the bugs and examine it closely. If this proves to be a challenge, hang some fly paper for an hour or so to capture a few of the little buggers. Common household fruit flies (aka Drosophila) grow to a maximum size of 1/8th inch (3mm) long and typically have brownish or yellowish bodies and red eyes. They are also known to be clumsy fliers - a common experience in infested areas is to feel these little bugs kamikaze into your bare skin and face out of nowhere.

Home Remedies For Mosquito Bites

Mosquito bites can continue to itch for up to four days after the initial bite. Scratching and irritating the area of the bite will prolong the agony, irritate the skin, increase swelling and the chance of infection. When an over the counter product for the treatment of the itch and swelling from mosquito bites is unavailable, or simply undesirable, there are several household products which can help provide relief.

Using a butterfly net catch a number of honey bees corresponding to the number of mosquito bites you have. Carefully pull the stingers out and inject the stingers to the bites. Alternately…you can let the bees do it for you if you are unable to pull the stingers. The itching from the mosquito bite will be gone the instant the bee stings the spot.

Salt

This seems to be the quickest of all home remedies for mosquito bites. Simply moisten the bite area and then rub table salt on the moistened area. Itching should cease immediately.

Essential Oils: Apply full strength directly to bite area. Edit: There are concerns about using essential oils on children and pre-teens, especially repeated use.

Tea Tree Oil

Lavender Oil

Witch Hazel (astringent)

Cedar Oil

You can also use a banana peel which is to be used inside out. This provides relief from the bites.

A mixture of pure olive oil and vinegar also helps in relieving the mosquito bite problem.

Treat mosquito bites using garlic - Take a knob off the garlic and cut in half. Rub the garlic onto the mosquito bites. You should notice immediate relief from the itching. This is a great remedy for young children if they get bitten. But the best remedy of all is still prevention.

Oral antihistamines

For stronger reactions, taking an antihistamine containing diphenhydramine (Benadryl, Tylenol Severe Allergy), chlorpheniramine maleate (Chlor-Trimeton, Actifed) or loratadine (Claritin) may ease your body’s response.

Apply immediately sodium bicarb moist with water immediately after the bee stings. It gives immediate relief in pain. If sodium bicarb is not available, apply a bit of tooth paste. It also works nicely.
