A cough is the body’s response to inflammation or irritation in the throat, larynx, bronchial tubes or lungs. There are two basic kinds of coughs, congested and dry, with each one having different underlying causes.
1 teaspoon of honey
1 tablespoon of lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Stir mixture in a little bit of drinking water and drink immediately.
Take this 2-3 times a day.
Almonds are excellent for dry coughs. Soak about seven almonds in water and keep them overnight. Next morning peel off the brown skin. Now grind them to form a powder and add twenty grams each of butter and sugar and form a paste. Consume it twice a day, once in the morning and the second time in the evening.
Mix 8 - 10 tablespoon of coconut milk with 1 tablespoon poppy seed (powdered) and 1 tablespoon of pure honey. Take this every night before going to bed. This remedy is very good Home Remedy for Cough.
Ginger is also very effective home remedy for cough. Mix ½ tablespoon of ginger paste, and a half tablespoon of pepper powder. Further add equal amount (one tablespoon) of vinegar and honey into it. Add 2-3 tablespoon of water and keep it aside. Take this cough syrup 2-3 times a day. This is commonly used homemade cough syrup for getting relief from cough.
HERBAL TEAS
Mullein and Anise Blend
1 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon dried aniseed
1 teaspoon dried mullein leaves
Bring water to a boil in a glass or stainless steel pan. Add the aniseed, reduce heat to medium-high, and simmer, uncovered 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place the mullein in a teapot. Without straining, pour the anise decoction over the mullein leaves, cover, and steep 10 minutes. Strain, sweeten with honey, and sip slowly while warm.
A two-ingredient home remedies for cough incorporates one tablespoon full of the purest of honey and a generous pinch of white pepper. Top the spoonful of honey with the pepper, and administer orally. Should the cough-afflicted desire to bring up more mucus, and then use black pepper in place of the white pepper. In conjunction with the honey and pepper regimen, drink hot tea with a piece of ginger placed into the cup or mug.
